ESSENTIAL OILS IN COLLEGE
The following are some of my preferred essential oils for college students:
PEPPERMINT to increase focus and reduce headache discomfort
LAVENDER to help relax the nervous system and promotes sleep
TEA TREE to disinfect fungus, orders and germs
CITRUS OILS for “happy” mood and clean, fresh smell
DIFFUSING ESSENTIAL OILS FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE MAKES EVERYTHING OLA KALA!
Essential oils are frequently used to improve the health and wellbeing of young, middle aged and senior persons. This organic and wonderful practice of Aromatherapy is gaining popularity albeit its 6,000 year existence. Essential oils are extracted concentrates from plants, seeds, bark and flowers through distillation or steam/water used to improve health & wellness. Recently, in the last few decades, these oils have been implemented to help people decrease pain, anxiety & stress. According to Dr. Francoise Adan, 40 percent of Americans are using complimentary and alternative modalities such as the application of essential oils to feel & look better.
College students especially love and reap benefits of essential oils by diffusing them to strengthen their focus of studying, disinfecting their personal space in a dorm room, and promoting positivity. Our daughter Sophia was excited to begin her freshman year at Purdue University with therapeutic grade essential oils, specifically grapefruit and lemon, which are very uplifting aromas. The citrus oils, most popular in aromatherapy today are orange, lemon, bergamot, grapefruit and lime. These will transform the smell of your dorm room, home, office space or gym. They are uplifting, happy oils that have been called liquid sunshine in a bottle. They come from the rind of citrus fruits. One method of benefiting from the aroma of the “happy” oils is to diffuse them in to the air so everyone entering the room will experience the aromatherapy.
