PATH OF THE GODS - AMALFI COAST

Antonio, an educated botanist, shared a great deal about the herbs along the mountainside. 

Before attempting this half day mountainous hike, it is highly recommended that one be in walking shape, have very comfortable walking shoes. I wore hiking tennis shoes and carried a water bottle.  Path of The Gods is a total distance of 3.5 miles with a total ascent of 710 feet with the highest elevation of 2,130 feet.  Get ready to move and be in awe of nature at the same time.

Late last fall, Patricia, and Sophia, two of my daughters, met Brian and me in Positano, Italy on the Amalfi Coast for pasta, scenic views, and extreme hiking.

The four of us agreed that one of our activities would be to hike Path of the Gods with an experienced and passionate tour guide.  Thank goodness for Antonio, who not only protected us from the dangerous heights, but educated us on the herbs, plants, and vegetation of the village we walked through - Agerola.
