One Hellenic Woman’s Journey To Success
Yiasas!
We are continuing our celebration of WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH with a spotlight on a strong and beautiful Hellenic woman Dr. Georgia Andrianopolis.
Her’s is the story of an immigrant woman’s journey to success in the face of challenges, adversity, a new language and learning a whole new world.
How did Dr. Georgia, the youngest of five daughters growing up in Greece, move to America and reach her lofty goals while holding the perspective of an outsider?
During this week’s podcast, Kiki converses with Dr. Georgia allowing her to demonstrate the characteristics of a survivor and a person of drive.
You can be inspired by Dr. Georgia’s journey during episode 190 of the Kefi Life podcast dropping this week.
In the meantime, here are some of Dr Georgia’s viewpoints to help you to successfully navigate life:
EDUCATE YOURSELF: The world of academics opens a whole new world, which stimulates an open and curious mind.
BE TENACIOUS: Tenacity doesn’t mean it will be easy, but it does mean if you keep going things will get better and more attainable.
BE ASSERTIVE: If you don’t ask you don’t get.
BE GOAL DIRECTED: Ask yourself where do you want to be and where are you headed?
LEARN TO FIGHT OBSTACLES: Adversity does not mean it’s over; it means the setback is setting you up for a comeback.
YOUR PURPOSE IS UNIQUE TO YOU, HONOR IT: Research, network, learn, study and get back up after each failure to be purposeful.
RESILIENCE: Practice the comeback. Don’t sweat the small stuff, instead fight through the discomfort of the growing pains.
EXPLORATION: Look for different and new ways to reach your goal. Be open to trying unconventional methods.
CURIOSITY: Forevermore ask questions and be curious as to why you are experiencing a situation.
