Creating — The Act Of Rebirth

As a true Hellene, I live by the act of creating.  My personal creation is in the form of writing, speaking, hosting, designing and dancing.  I must create each day to feel balanced. The amount of time I create can range from 15 minutes to 7 hours a day.

I do share my creations with the people, but truly I create for me.  This act of inventing something allows me to tap into my divine purpose in life.  For example, as an author and magazine writer I get ideas onto paper and this process becomes cathartic.  As a thought leader for living a balanced and well life, when I am able to share the ideas with the world  I am contributing to the greater good of society.

What are your gifts or what comes naturally for you in regards to creating: using your hands, your voice, your mind, your body?

Do you like to sculpt, paint, dance, sing, draw, write, construct, build?

Does creating for yourself generate an income?

During my trip to Greece last month, I stopped by an artisan shop GREEK SPIRIT in Athens where I became mesmerized with the talents of Georgia the store owner.

Georgia crafts handmade art and decorative jewelry to sell in her darling gift shop in the heart of Athens, while she feeds her soul with her unique creations.

The designs are all handmade with love and symbolize traditions or characteristics of Greece, thus the name of her store: GREEK SPIRIT.

Many of Georgia’s designs are centered around the popular olive wreath – symbolizing success and vitality.

There is also the lovely pomegranate to symbolize a rebirth, good luck, fertility or abundance in life.

Whatever your means of creativity, be mindful that it does carry with it health benefits.

Being creative is known to increase positive emotions, reduce depressive symptoms and benefit your immune system.

Most importantly, according to George Bernard Shaw, “Life isn’t about finding yourself.  Life is about creating yourself.”

Get busy with your best creative self to feel the Kefi in all three spheres, mind, body and spirit- Ola kala. All is well.

In the meantime,

Filakia – kisses,

Kiki
