Kefi Life: An Evolution
Yiasas!
In the early 2000’s I was hosting the Kiki Vale radio show. It was a labor love for me, and I loved every show I hosted and produced. My program aired from 2000-2012, but as time passed, I felt the urge to share more substantive content- content which would help listeners become well in the mind, body and spirit. I needed to share a message of encouragement and fulfillment with my audience.
Would you agree that time has a way of making you look in the mirror and face your purpose head on.
One of America’s greatest thinkers, Albert Einstein encountered a realization: Time is not absolute. In other words, despite our common perception that a second is always a second everywhere in the universe, the rate at which time flows depends upon where you are and how fast you are traveling.
I was traveling in a space that required new dimensions. A dimension, which began to unfold my story, the story of Kefi Life. The following decade would be a voyage of discovery with the true Kefi inspiration – my mother Katina.
Each year the story was slowly evolving.

The Kefi Life brand has been taking shape for two decades- but the authentic story began before that, the day I was born.
Fast forward to today. Have you noticed any changes with Kefi Life lately? Colors, logo, presentation?
Do you notice that my logo is different?
While the main principles of Kefi Life have remained the same, it felt time to bring in a more genuine, more mature look that fully encompasses what Kefi Life is and why I started it.
If we go to the original story, Kefi Life is the epic inspiration of Katina. A woman born in the Peloponnese, Greece who through a beginning of struggle developed the Greek virtue- courage.
Katina, my example, my superpower and bright light, forever imparted positive energy, love, hospitality tenacity all in pursuit of Ola Kala- All is Well, the natural way.
During her earthly life, her example, “I’m going to live until I die,” coupled with two books she gifted me, titled The Healing Powers of Olive Oil and Medicinal Plants of Greece created the vision for Kefi Life the lifestyle brand.
Kefi Life has now come full circle. How do I capture the ethos of Katina within the brand?
Enter Manos Koumparakis, an award-winning graphic designer out of Athens, Greece.
Manos and I began conversations in late 2024. I shared my ideas, my inspiration my mother and her life of pursing longevity naturally. Being a fellow Greek, Manos completely understood my vision of tying together the Hellenic principles of wellness with my inspiration -Katina, for my company.
Manos performed an incredible case study including Katina, olive oil, natural living and a life of wellness. Here is a sneak peek at the study, which propelled our beautiful design.
KEFI LIFE CASE STUDY:
The Olive Tree as a Symbol of Heritage and Resilience: The olive tree holds deep cultural and historical significance, representing wisdom, resilience, and longevity. Centering the design on an olive emphasizes these timeless qualities, reinforcing ideas of stability and rootedness, which are valuable traits for a brand.
The Circle as a Representation of Life and Unity: The circular shape around the tree is a universal symbol of life, continuity, and interconnectedness. It suggests a holistic view, implying that the brand embraces a well-rounded approach and values the cycles of life and nature.
Woman Silhouette as a Connection to Humanity: The woman figure in the logo connects the brand directly to people, symbolizing empathy, connection, and growth. It subtly reminds viewers of the brand’s focus on human-centered values, perhaps suggesting community, wellness, or a commitment to human well-being.
Nature and Balance: By blending the olive tree, circle, and human silhouette, the logo conveys a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature. It emphasizes balance, sustainability, and respect for natural processes, values that might align with the brand’s mission.
This design approach creates a logo that is rich in meaning, portraying a message of heritage, life, and connection in a way that is simple yet deeply symbolic.
Color: Blue symbolizes purity, balance, and health. Blue exudes positivity, freshness, and rejuvenation and is often associated with spiritual wellness.
This case study demonstrates a lovely guide to what the Kefi Life is all about. Moving forward, I’m excited to continue the journey with fresh eyes, a positive feeling and all the tenants of a woman who embodied the Kefi Life- a life where all is well.
Sending you filakia, Kisses
